I was very cautious when my department store changed from another variety of prepared desserts.
The use by dates were so far ahead I presumed these puddings would be full of additives.
Today I finally steamed the ginger pudding. Use by date was only a few days away.
It was delicious. The ginger pieces and sauce still perfect.
I shall be back to Bakers and Larners to buy other varieties.

Just fabulous! Was in our freezer for months but we felt we needed a warm pudding following salads on a chilly June day. The texture was perfect, light but spongy and comforting. The taste was glorious . A zing of ginger and delicious, dense sauce. In fact there is another one in the freezer and I am going to get it out for tomorrow. So far removed from the unsatisfactory bakery my from the big stores. Pudding made with love not cynicism!
